IMPORTANT INFORMATION

NEW ARTISANS VOCAL COMPETITION WILL BE COMBINING THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR AGE DIVISIONS INTO ONE COMPETITION WITH ONE SET OF PRIZES AS LISTED BELOW.

THE JUNIOR DIVISION SHOW (AGES 7-12) OF NEW ARTISANS VOCAL COMPETITION THAT WAS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27th, 2007 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION. ALL AGES (7-18) WILL COMPETE ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28th, 2007. WE STILL ENCOURAGE JUNIORS (AGES 7-12) TO REGISTER. AGE WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION TO KEEP THE COMPETITION FAIR.

Audience tickets are limited so reserve your seats early.
Audience tickets may be available at the door on the day of the event (cash only).

COMPETITION RULES & INFORMATION
You must be a student.
Solo vocal performances only. No instruments.
Acapella performances are permitted.
Competitors are judged by a panel of three professional vocalists on pitch, range, timing, stage presence, showmanship, attitude, and overall entertainment value.
Age is considered to keep the competition fair.
All competitors will sing one song and then listen to the judges' comments. The competitors with the top 5 scores will perform a second song for the judges' final decisions.
Competitors will perform in alphabetical order by last name.
Bring 2 songs on Audio CDs only. Include track number notes. No pre-recorded lead vocals on background music tracks. Occasional pre-recorded background vocals are acceptable.
Maximum song time limit is approximately 3 minutes.
NO PROFANITY. Competitors that use profanity will be immediately stopped and disqualified.
Competition call time and sign-in is at 5:00 pm on the day of each event. Late arrivals will be disqualified.
Proof of your age (birth certificate, student ID card) and your audio CD music is required at sign-in.
Competitors 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
Adult chaperones are required to purchase an audience ticket only if they are going to be in the audience.
Adult chaperones are not permitted backstage.
DM Creative Productions reserves the right to combine the two age divisions into one competition with one first, second, and third cash prize should there be a minimal number of competition entries. If this occurs, the competition will take place on Sunday, October 28th, 2007 and you will be notified via email or phone on Friday, October 26th, 2007. DM Creative Productions also reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time and refund all competition entries and audience tickets.
